This is one main street eatery that doesn't live up to its reviews. We had three different plates...ravioli, fish and chop. The ravioli, 4(?)tasteless, was served in a broth...the fish was over cooked...and the chop, while huge, tasted like it was covered in Mrs Butterworth's syrup. Really disappointing.
I was surprised to see bad reviews about Silver. I was there for dinner with a couple of friends and we were greeted by a very nice hostess, Everything We ate, from the bread to the dessert was excellent, everybody at the table ordered something different so we had the opportunity to try different dishes, we had no complains. I will definitely go back and recommend this restaurant.
Silver proved to be an excellent choice for dinner. Entrees were creative and delicious. Our party of 4 were very pleased with the service and atmosphere. I would recommend this restaurant to all those who enjoy fresh, unique and whole foods.
very disappointing...the menu on-line is not what is currently being served. There are no ala carte items, no duck, no risotto. The short ribs were tasty but the plate had literally on onion, carrots instead of parsnips and no celery root as described on the menu. Soups were were warm at best. Service was fair and the noise level from the dj upstairs made if very difficult to have conversation. I can't find any reason to go back!
Enjoyed a brunch one Sunday moring. Went back the following Sunday to be totally disappointed! Same meal - eggs benefit (my favorite) was awful! Service was just as poor. Potatoes were tasteles, and hollandaise sauce was bitter, lemony, horrible. We politely brought this to the manager's attention, who apologized but actually could have cared less. They charged us full price, didn't even offer to comp the coffee. (which I had to ask 3x for sugar & a spoon), and never got offered a refill. NEVER GOING BACK!!
Great food. Finally a restaurant in town that does not try to put too many flavors on your plate at the one time. Friendly unobtrusive service. Nice to escape "mountain ambiance" for a change. Needed addition to the PC dining scene.
My wife and I ate there and found the restaurant to be very good. The service was excellent and the menu has a great section. The food was prepared just right and brought to the table Hot. Over all a great dinning experience.
Very disappointing. Too much negative attitude....not much of a ski town bar or restaurant...belongs in N.Y. . Food was ok.
Had dinner here the other night with two friends. I liked the ambience and the service was good but the food wasn't memorable. not bad by any means, but a little overhyped.
