El Chubasco is one of Park City’s hidden secrets for locals and informed tourists. Tucked away in a strip mall in Prospector Square, El Chubasco is easy to miss at first glance. The menu is bargain priced and is definitely one of the best values in Park City. Combination plates, authentic tacos, soups and moles are all here. Order at that counter, receive your fresh tortilla chips, and head straight to the salsa bar. The salsa bar is the centerpiece of El Chubasco, with over 10 homemade varieties ranging from tame to fiery habanero. Your food arrives at your table shortly, and the friendly staff will take care of your plates when you are done.
If you are looking for an authentic Mexican meal at a bargain price, head to El Chubasco in Prospector.
Lunch was enjoyed at El Chubasco, a small Mexican Grill with a homemade salsa bar spread that was impressive on its own. Spending much of my life in southern California authentic mexican food is a staple in my diet. I crave it, I crave it and am so appreciative when I find good mexican food. The appreciation factor goes up when I experience it in a place that you would not associate it with. Park City did not fail us. Josh knows the owner of El Chubasco, and she and her staff came across so nice. We had fish tacos that were not only filling but awesome, mixed with great conversation and washed down with Dos Equis dark. I am not a food connoisseur, but I know when I taste authentic Mexican food and this was indeed just that. The place was simple, clean, and had food that makes you want to return for!
Solid mexican food with an awesome salsa bar. usually quick and delicious. great for lunch or a fast dinner
El Chubasco is some seriously good mexican. I eat there about once per week. The salsa bar is the best part - the sour cream chipotle salsa is amazing. After a huge bike ride, nothing can beat Chubby's.
