The Other Place Restaurant is a classic Salt Lake City restaurant with a "step-back-in-time" feel to it. Excellent breakfast options that are served all day, Greek lunch and dinner options and reasonable prices make The Other Place a local favorite.
The Other Place Restaurant has a bright, open dining room with minimal furnishings that are always clean. It has the feel of a cafe your grandma would take you to for a weekend breakfast. Waitresses that have worked there for years and years hustle about with great efficiency, while the owner mans the cash register up front.
The clientele consists of an older crowd, with a few Avenues hipsters mixed in. It seems all day breakfast food and great coffee is great for drawn out meals with old time friends, or to help soothe a hangover from the night before.
The Other Place serves up generous portions with plenty of fresh ingredients (and they don't skimp on the feta either!). Breakfast entrees usually come with hash browns and your choice of toast, pancake or French toast. What a deal!
Be sure to check out the local favorite, known as The Pile. This mound of hash browns is mixed with peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, two eggs, and of course, feta cheese. We also recommend the Gyro Omelette, the French Toast Sandwich, and the regular Gyro Plate.
The Other Place is everything you love about a good diner: good food served fast, good prices, and friendly service.
The Other Place Restaurant is located on 3rd South, between 4th and 5th East, on the North side of the street. They have plenty of free parking in the back, where the main entrance is located.
The Other Place is open Monday - Saturday from 7am to 11pm, and on Sundays from 8am - 10pm. The entire menu is also available for take-out.
